So we're making a puzzle that leads to an object and takes place within a single building. I think that since we are demonstrating that the campus is now infected because of the research that took place Monday the first story point should involve meeting back up with the researcher and test subject again, only to find out that the test subject is now completely insane and the researcher is beginning to become insane as well. He knows he doesn't have long before he loses his sanity completely.
The dollhouse tells them that the researcher was developing a tool that could be used to do something important (idk what exactly). When they meet up with him they find out he is now too insane to tell you what happened to it, but he can give the players a clue before he loses it completely.
Also, should we put up other signs of insanity in the building? Not necessarily as part of the puzzle, but just for the immersion factor.

Maybe the test subject stole the object because he went bonkers after the tests we did on him, and he was the one who created an elaborate puzzle throughout the building.
